Description
Early stone axe, resembles types found in Palmer River region Cape York. The stone edge has a ground edge as some scrapers have. The hard wood haft has been split to accomodate the stone and bound with sinew, resin and pipe clay.
555mm x 45mm, stone is 155mm x 90mm. Quite heavy.
